research topics
  • Visual attention and perception in clinical populations (ADHD, autism & schizophrenia)
  • Differentiating top-down and bottom-up attentional mechanisms

Role

I am a PhD student at the Graduate Training Centre of Neuroscience working in Prof. Zhaoping Li’s group in the Department of Sensory and Sensorimotor Systems at the MPI. My research centers on how variations in (and development of) attentional mechanisms and visual perception relate to mental and developmental disorders.

Bio

I am a cognitive science graduate with a background in medical computer engineering. My motivation to study cognition and attentional processes comes from a desire to understand how neural and psychological processes develop and interact - and how this can be used to support mental health and neurodivergent populations.
